This pattern has 10 base strings. You knot onto them row by row using your leading string.

For this pattern you can use three different techniques to make the cat colour.
- two tone alpha: use your base strings to knot onto the leading string wherever you need the second colour (you can for example watch the video "how to: tie two-tone alpha" by Megan Morris
- regular colour switch: watch MashaKnots' video "how to read alpha patterns"
- flat alpha technique: watch MashaKnots' video "flat alpha bracelet - beginner tutorial"
