@gjc2867 it's in the video that's posted to this pattern. You should definitely watch it before tying this pattern. If you just follow the pattern, you won't get the desired result.
alternative method (edited) petal one: using B string 4 fb knots (left side), 4 bf knots (right side), A string connect in middle petals two/three: using B string 5 fb knots, 5 bf knots (left side), 5 bf knots, 5 fb knots (right side), connect A sting to C string on both sides using fb/bf petals four/five: same as above but then connect A string to C string using ff or bb petal six: using B string 3 fb knots, 1 ff knot (left side), 3 bf knots, 1 bb knot (right side). connect Bs in the middle
alternative method: petal one (top): 4 fb/bf knots on each side petals two and three (sides): 5 fb/bf knots on each side petal four (bottom): 4 fb/bf knots on each side
