@EdenB all the alpha patterns on BB show the number of base strings plus an extra for the leading string to knot with. The "Dimensions" are more accurate... for this one 12x74 means 12 strings across, 74 rows down 😊
@Ping_4623 the backs are usually pretty messy, strings are overlapped and crisscrossed, extending various lengths until they're used again for knots. There's a video link toward the top of the page between the pattern preview and the knot diagram called How to Make Alphas which shows the backside toward the end of the video (not this exact pattern). Also if you can browse Instagram under #alphabracelet some posts will include extra photos of the backs of their bracelets.
